BRADENTON - A jury has convicted a Florida man of first-degree murder and armed burglary in the death of a man on Valentine's Day 2007.
Bradenton resident Anthony Lewis, 20, was convicted Friday. The jury found he fatally shot 67-year-old Daniel Ramsey. Ramsey and his wife were returning to their home from a Valentine's Day lunch when they interrupted the burglary, and Daniel Ramsey was shot.
This was the second time Lewis was tried in the case. A mistrial was declared in August after a jury deadlocked 11-1 in favor of convicting him. Another man, 20-year-old Mike Walker, was convicted of second-degree murder and armed burglary for his involvement.
