Seven people were injured, five seriously, when a van flipped on Interstate 4 in Polk County late Saturday night.
Two of those with injuries the Florida Highway Patrol described as serious were teens, and one was 5 years old.
The accident happened when a 1999 Dodge van driven by Marcy Puente, 38, of Auburndale, lost control while heading west on I-4 near mile marker 50 about 11:05 p.m., the FHP said.
The van slid into the median, then back across three westbound lanes before spinning and turning over, the accident report said.
Puente was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, the FHP said.
Also seriously injured were: Richard Mauras, 13, of Poinciana; Arlene Nova, 5, of Auburndale; John Brito, 16, of Auburndale and Catherine Muras, 26, of Poinciana.
The highway patrol said Edgar Gomez, 13, of Auburndale and Angel Nova, 2, of Auburndale received minor injuries.
All seven people were taken to Central Florida hospitals.
The driver and six passengers were wearing seatbelts, the report said. The accident is under investigation but alcohol does not appear to be involved, the FHP said.
