TALLAHASSEE - Back from the honeymoon, the governor's wife will step into her public role as Florida's first lady.
Carole Crist will join husband Gov. Charlie Crist as they distribute books to foster children this afternoon and read "The Twelve Days of Christmas in Florida" at the governor's mansion. Afterward, they will participate in a menorah lighting ceremony with a local rabbi.
The couple returned last week from a brief honeymoon on Useppa Island near Fort Myers. They married Dec. 12 in St. Petersburg, 15 months after meeting at a dinner in New York.
