MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Italee Lucas scored 10 of her 19 points in North Carolina's 18-2 second-half run, and the second-ranked Tar Heels rallied past Illinois 68-59 on Saturday in the Carolinas Challenge.
Rashanda McCants added 20 points for North Carolina, which improved to 12-0 for the third time in four seasons. The Tar Heels also won their ninth straight game on the Grand Strand in what's become a regular holiday trip.
The Illini (4-7) led 41-33 with less than 15 minutes to go before the Heels' big run.
Jenna Smith had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead Illinois.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Melissa Lechlitner, Lindsay Schrader and Natalie Novosel scored 13 points each, and the Irish forced 31 turnovers in the easy win.
Notre Dame (9-1) was in control from the start, using an early 29-7 run to pull away. The Irish forced 12 turnovers during the stretch, including seven on eight Loyola possessions.
Keisha Collins scored 11 to lead Loyola (5-4), which has never beaten a ranked team.
Becca Bruszewski added 10 points and all 10 Irish players scored.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Marlies Gipson scored 15 points and blocked six shots to help give Coach Deb Patterson her 250th career victory.
Gipson also had six rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Wildcats (10-0).
Indiana State (3-7) was led by Leah Phillips with 12 points.

NASSAU, Bahamas - Jacqua Williams scored 16 of her career-high 20 points in the second half to lead the Yellow Jackets to the championship of the Bahamas Sunsplash Shootout.
Williams went 9-for-10 from the free-throw line, dished out five assists and had four steals. Alex Montgomery added 15 points and five rebounds for Georgia Tech (10-2).
The Mavericks (4-6) cut the lead to 58-54 with 1:17 remaining, but the Jackets sealed the win at the line, making five of six of their foul shots in the final minute.
Candice Champion led Texas-Arlington with 20 points. Shalyn Martin added 14.

LAS VEGAS - Andrea Riley had 22 points and 10 assists for No. 22 Oklahoma State.
The Cowgirls (7-7) took a 55-52 lead on Taylor Hardeman's 3-pointer with just less than 16 minutes left, then completed a 12-0 run that gave them a 64-52 advantage with 12:39 remaining. Shaunte Smith made two consecutive layups during the key run for Oklahoma State.
Hardeman had 16 points for Oklahoma State (7-2) on 5-for-6 shooting.
