Halloween is supposed to be the scary holiday, but really it's New Year's Eve.
Should you go to a party and worry about all the drunks out on the road?
Or should you party at home and risk having your friends depart in a state not fit for driving?
Of course, you could just stay in and alone, fretting over the year about to pass and the one about to come.
Yikes.
Add to that the lesser questions —What to wear? Who to bring? Where to go? How much will it all cost? — and you have plenty to be frightened about.
We can't help you with any of the above. (Sorry!) But we can help you with what to cook and what to mix if you do decide to go the cocktail route.
Even more intriguing, fashion writer Cloe Cabrera has some suggestions for what to wear under your party clothes in 2009.
No matter what you're doing/cooking/drinking/spending/wearing/kissing, here's to a safe and sane New Year's Eve — and a very happy New Year.
