Tampa Police: Woman Used Shard Of Glass As Weapon

Cherice Knight

During a dispute involving crack cocaine and territory under an Interstate 4 overpass Sunday, Cherice Knight slashed a person's face with a piece of glass, causing a 5-inch cut, Tampa police say.

Officers arrested Knight at 6:20 p.m. Sunday.

She was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Knight, 35, of Tampa, told police she didn't cut the victim. Knight remained in Orient Road Jail today. Her bail was set at $7,500.
