Hillsborough Deputies: 46-Year-Old Slugs Teen, Arrested

Darrell Pike grabbed a 17-year-old boy by the neck, punched his face and slammed him against a wall Tuesday night, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Pike, 46, of Plant City, then hid in a nearby wooded area, according to a criminal arrest affidavit, which states that the teenager had red marks on his face and neck.
Deputies arrested Pike at 10:36 p.m. Tuesday.
He was charged with child abuse without great bodily harm.
Pike remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail had not been set.
