Having Two Wives Lands Man In Jail

ZEPHYRHILLS - Police charged a 44-year-old man with bigamy Tuesday after learning he was married to two women.
Investigators say Marvin Frazer, of 4653 La Force St., married Rebecca Ann Lewis in New York on July 1, 2000. The couple separated three years later but were never divorced. Frazer then married Ilene Florence Finn, 44, on July 7, 2007, at the First Presbyterian Church of Zephyrhills.
Frazer and Lewis exchanged e-mail in 2005 in which they acknowledged still being married and discussed hiring an attorney to start legal proceedings, according to a witness affidavit.
Bigamy is a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison. Frazer remained in the Land O' Lakes Jail today with bail set at $2,000.
