Polk County Deputies Locate Missing Woman

Polk County deputies said today that they had found a woman whom they feared had been in danger.
According to a release, Barbara Christine "Christy" Hurt, 37, of Avenue B South, Auburndale, contacted Winter Haven police to let them know she was safe. She had last been seen at work Friday and did not return home.
Hurt called home at 11 p.m. Tuesday, telling her niece that she was with her boyfriend and was afraid. The niece relayed the information the next morning to her parents, who reported Hunt missing.
