LAND O' LAKES - Principals have been selected for a high school and an elementary school opening in August.
Monica Ilse will be the principal at Anclote High School in Holiday and Scott Mitchell will be principal at Watergrass Elementary in Wesley Chapel.
The Pasco County School Board approved their appointments last week based on recommendations by Superintendent Heather Fiorentino.
Ilse's appointment takes effect March 2 and Mitchell's takes effect March 23.
Ilse has been principal at Land O' Lakes High since 2006.
She began her career in Pasco in 1997 as a guidance counselor at Land O' Lakes High and in 2001 became an assistant principal at Wesley Chapel High.
She was named principal of Irvin Education Center in 2005, then transferred to her current job at Land O' Lakes High in 2006.
Ilse, a University of South Florida graduate, holds a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's degree in counselor education and a master's degree in educational leadership.
Mitchell has been principal at Centennial Elementary since 2004.
He began his career in Pasco in 1999 as an assistant principal at Denham Oaks Elementary and also worked as an assistant principal at Wesley Chapel Elementary.
He also is a University of South Florida graduate, with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in administration and supervision.
