Fernandez Sets USF Record

TAMPA - University of South Florida women's basketball coach Jose Fernandez became the school's all-time winningest basketball coach - for the men's or women's programs - with the Bulls' 110-51 win against Jackson State (3-7) at the Sun Dome on Sunday.

Fernandez improved his career coaching record to 128-124, surpassing former men's coach Bobby Paschal, who guided the men's basketball team to 127 wins in 10 seasons.

In addition, USF (12-1) stretched its winning streak to eight and its home winning streak to 12.

Jazmine Sepulveda finished with a game-high 26 points. Janae Stokes added 20, all in the first half.

BATON ROUGE, La. - Courtney Ward scored a team-high 12 points and Alysha Harvin added 10 points - both coming off the bench - to lead Florida State (10-4) past LSU (5-4).

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Tyler Hansbrough had 26 points and 10 rebounds, and No. 1 North Carolina (12-0) routed Rutgers (9-4) 97-75 for its school-record 12th straight double-figure victory.
