Deputies Probe Slaying Of Man Found In Brandon Lot

Hillsborough County detectives are investigating the slaying of a man in a storage-facility parking lot in Brandon.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said the victim hasn't been identified.
Investigators are waiting for the Medical Examiner's Office to respond to the scene, and it hasn't been determined if he has any identification on him, Carter said. A burgundy Nissan pickup at the scene, 10311 Woodberry Road, might belong to the man. Investigators need a warrant to search the vehicle.
The victim is a Mexican man in his 20s or 30s, Carter said. The sheriff's office said he suffered upper body trauma but wouldn't release details.
A person called authorities at 6:54 a.m. to report the body was found.
