Traffic on Nebraska Avenue is still tied up from a crash shortly after 3 p.m. today.
The incident began as a possible carjacking when a deputy sitting in her patrol vehicle at 124th Avenue saw a woman running toward her and yelling that she had been carjacked.
The deputy then saw the woman's Jeep Cherokee involved in a crash at the intersection of Nebraska and 124th. A man ran from the Cherokee but was quickly caught by the deputy.
The woman then recanted her story and admitted the man was her boyfriend. He had an outstanding warrant and was arrested.
Meanwhile, traffic is still affected in the area. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
