Two teenagers playing with fireworks did an estimated $3,000 damage to a Kenneth City home, authorities say.
Firefighters responded to a fire call at 6340 43rd Ave. N. about 3:15 p.m. and found the blaze contained to the exterior of the house, Lealman Fire District officials say.
The teens had tried to extinguish the flames, but wind and dry conditions made it difficult. One teen had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue and the Pinellas Park Fire Department also responded to the call.
