Regarding "100-Year-Old B-Day Girl Is Reborn Through Fitness" (Metro, Jan. 29):
I thought that the article focusing upon the 100-year-old woman was very inspiring. It goes to show that not all illnesses need to be treated with modern medicine and other modern-day treatments. In Ida's circumstance she was able correct the symptoms of osteoporosis by a simple remedy of exercise and stretching.
This not only shows that modern medicine is not the only cure, but also the fact that through exercise and perseverance we are all able to extend our life expectancies. Ida proved this by extending her life to 100 years old.
I hope that this article give inspiration to others out there to exercise and extend their own life expectancies!
