Riverview standout RB Jahleel Addae has traded the opportunity to be a Mountaineer for being a Chippewa.
Addae, a Tribune All-Hillsborough County first-team selection, verbally committed to Central Michigan on Friday, less than a week after backing out of a verbal commitment to West Virginia.
"It was tough. It was difficult," Addae said of the recruiting process. "I just prayed on it and left it in the Lord's hands and he showed me the right way. I feel like this is a great opportunity."
After announcing he was backing out of his commitment to West Virginia on Monday, Addae narrowed his choices to Central Michigan and Iowa State.
CROOK TO MURRAY STATE: Alonso DL Jamal Crook didn't wait until Wednesday's National Signing Day to make his college intentions known. Crook verbally committed to Murray State on Friday.
"It's Murray State," Alonso coach Mike Heldt said of Crook, who also had interest from Tennessee State and Georgia Southern. "He really liked it up there. He loved his trip and the coaches. He'll fit in there great. They got a great player."
Crook led the Ravens with 15.5 sacks last season, including a 4.5 sack performance against Freedom.
