PANTHERS 4, CANUCKS 3: Nathan Horton scored the only goal in the shootout as Florida earned its first win over the Canucks in more than eight years.
Horton, Stephen Weiss, and Jozef Stumpel scored for Florida in regulation. Tomas Vokoun had 29 saves for the win.
RED WINGS 2, AVALANCHE 0: Henrik Zetterberg's 30th goal broke a scoreless tie with 2:20 left and Dominik Hasek made 15 saves for his 80th career shutout.
Kris Draper added an empty-netter for league-best Detroit, which won its sixth straight.
RANGERS 3, DEVILS 1: Chris Drury scored two goals and Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves for New York continued its dominance of New Jersey.
The Rangers have won all five meetings this season between the metropolitan area rivals and Lundqvist has been a major part of that success. He was in net for all five wins.
THRASHERS 5, SABRES 4: Eric Perrin, Atlanta's fourth shooter, beat Jocelyn Thibault with a fake before scoring in the shootout to give the Thrashers a victory.
BLUES 1, DUCKS 0: Andy McDonald and Brad Boyes scored on the first two rounds of a shootout while Manny Legace stopped Anaheim's first two chances for a win.
Legace, the Blues' lone representative in the All-Star Game, made 30 saves through overtime for his fourth shutout.
PREDATORS: Forward J.P. Dumont signed a four-year, $16 million contract with Nashville.
Dumont, in his second season with the Predators, ranks second on the team in goals (18), assists (27) and points (45).
TRADE: The Blue Jackets traded left wing Curtis Glencross for veteran defenseman Dick Tarnstrom of Edmonton. Tarnstrom has appeared in 287 NHL games.
