KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Candace Parker dunked for the seventh time in her career and scored 20 points to help No. 2 Tennessee overcome a sluggish first half in a 79-51 win against Kentucky on Sunday.
With the Lady Vols leading by 18, the 6-foot-4 All-American chased down a loose ball after Chante Bowman lost control at midcourt. Parker gained control at the baseline, turned around and dunked with 8:08 left in the game.
The Lady Vols (20-1, 7-0 SEC) led 32-24 after a slow first half, but went on a 15-6 run that ended as Parker drove for a layup with 14:07 left to put Tennessee up 49-31.
Kentucky (11-11, 5-3) never recovered.
Parker was one of four Lady Vols in double figures. Alexis Hornbuckle added 13 points, Alberta Auguste had 11 and Nicky Anosike 10.
Chaney Scores 19 As No. 8 LSU Stops Florida
GAINESVILLE - Quianna Chaney scored 19 points, Allison Hightower added 14 off the bench and No. 8 LSU defeated Florida 85-71 for its ninth consecutive victory.
Erica White finished with 16 points, six rebounds and seven assists for LSU (18-3, 7-0 SEC).
Marshae Dotson had 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Gators (14-8, 3-4), who have lost three of their past four. Depree Bowden added 15 points and Sha Brooks 12.
GEORGIA TECH 83, FSU 73: An eight-minute stretch without a basket to start the second half spoiled an otherwise solid offensive showing by Florida State (14-7, 4-3 ACC) as host Georgia Tech (18-4, 5-3) took a 10-point victory.
Leading the team with her ninth game in double figures in a row was junior Tanae Davis-Cain as she put up a career-high 28 points on a personal-best six 3-pointers. Janie Mitchell led Georgia Tech with 23 points.
OKLAHOMA 74, TEXAS 58: Courtney Paris had 20 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocks to help visiting No. 11 Oklahoma (15-4, 5-2 Big 12) beat No. 25 Texas (15-7, 3-5).
Paris got her 80th consecutive double-double.
WEST VIRGINIA 70, SETON HALL 42: LaQuita Owens scored 10 points to help No. 12 West Virginia (18-3, 7-1 Big East) rout host Seton Hall (13-7, 3-5).
OLD DOMINION 93, N.C.-WILMINGTON 56: T.J. Jordan scored 20 points to lead No. 13 Old Dominion (18-3, 9-0 Colonial Athletic Association) past visiting UNC-Wilmington (11-9, 2-7).
VANDERBILT 61, GEORGIA 54: Christina Wirth scored 18 points to lead visiting Vanderbilt (16-6, 5-2 SEC) past No. 17 Georgia (16-6, 3-4).
OHIO STATE 76, MINNESOTA 62: Ashlee Trebilcock scored 19 points and No. 19 Ohio State (17-5, 8-3 Big Ten) pulled away in the second half against visiting Minnesota (15-8, 6-5).
