GLENDALE, Ariz. - Peyton Manning's kid brother isn't known for his mobility, but Eli Manning escaped the clutches of a heavy rush and found wide receiver David Tyree for the game's critical 32-yard reception.
On a third-and-5 play from the Giants' 44-yard line with 1:15 to play, Manning lined up in the shotgun with his team trailing by four points. Defensive lineman Jarvis Green came through to grab hold of Manning's jersey, but Manning somehow spun out of Green's grasp and lofted a pass downfield. The 6-foot Tyree outjumped 6-1 safety Rodney Harrison with 59 seconds remaining to give the Giants a first down at the New England 24.
Four plays later, Manning and Plaxico Burress combined for the winning 13-yard touchdown and New York pulled off one of the greatest upsets in Super Bowl history.
