TALLAHASSEE – Florida State senior guard Isaiah Swann's college career could be over. An MRI on Thursday revealed Swann tore the ACL in his left knee during a fall in FSU's victory at Miami on Wednesday.
Swann, who has played in 120 consecutive games, is out indefinitely with only seven games remaining in the regular season. FSU spokesman Chuck Walsh said it's too early to determine if Swann needs surgery. Swann has started 21 of 24 games, averaging 11.8 points and 2.9 rebounds a game.
Swann suffered the injury when he landed awkwardly on a drive to the basket late in the first half.
"We feel badly for Isaiah because he is a valuable member of our team and a great teammate," FSU coach Leonard Hamilton. "Our team physician and our athletic trainer will monitor Isaiah daily and work with him regarding his treatment and rehabilitation process."
FSU, which snapped a three-game losing streak by winning at Miami, is off until Wednesday when it hosts Wake Forest.
