Tampa, FL - Tampa, FL - Crate & Barrel, the upscale home furnishings chain, plans to open a store at International Plaza next year, a company spokeswoman said Friday.
The retailer won't open inside the Tampa mall. Instead it will open a two-story store nearby on mall property in spring 2009.
The first floor will be devoted to housewares, such as dishes and flatware, and the second floor will feature furniture, said Bette Kahn, a Crate & Barrel representative.
According to its Web site, Crate & Barrel has six stores in Florida, with the closest to Tampa in Orlando.
