HART Bus Hits Pedestrian

A 29-year-old man was hospitalized after being hit by a HART bus about 6:15 a.m. today in Palm River, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
Otis Emerson Jeffrey was taken to Tampa General Hospital after a bus hit him at Palm River Road and 51st Street.
Jeffrey is in serious condition, said hospital spokeswoman Ellen Fiss.
Tylon Deon Owens, 37, of 4014 Brower Drive, Seffner, was driving the bus, Carter said.
The bus was westbound on Palm River Road and had about 10 passengers. No one on the bus was hurt, Carter said.
