CLEARWATER - A woman's body was found in Tampa Bay this morning, behind a 55 and older retirement community, but investigators say they don't now whether her death is a homicide.
The corpse was removed from an area of the Bay behind the Imperial Cove retirement community, 19029 U.S. 19 N., about 8:15 a.m., said Clearwater public safety spokeswoman Elizabeth Daly-Watts.
The woman appears to be 55 to 60 years old, Daly-Watts said. There was no identification on the body.
There are no obvious signs that a crime has been committed, she said. An autopsy was planned.
