1 Jailed In Brooksville Death

Brooksville police have arrested a 23-year-old woman in the slaying of a 69-year-old man Wednesday.
Treva Lynn Anderson of 3582 Dow Lane, Spring Hill, was arrested Thursday on charges of premeditated murder and probation violation in the death of Robert Rutherford.

Police say Anderson went to Rutherford's residence at Lemontree Apartments, 770 S. Main St., and hit him several times on the head with an object.
Rutherford then was strangled, police say.
Anderson is being held at Hernando County Jail without bail.
