BROOKSVILLE - A Hernando County teenager who was arrested this month for delivering a profanity-laced rap song in front of a mother and her young children is back in jail today.

Christopher Holder, 19, of 7651 Gordon Loop, was charged with burglary and littering after he and two other Brooksville teens broke into a house that was being renovated and stealing copper wire, authorities said.

Also arrested were Kenneth Brown, 19, of 7427 WPA Road, and Randy Daignault, 16, of 7448 Gordon Loop. Each was charged with burglary of a dwelling and violation of a littering law, said Hernando County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Donna Black.

The second charge was filed because the teens were burning the insulation off the copper in a backyard fire pit, deputies said.

Black said that as Holder was being booked, he used his one chance at a telephone call to contact a television producer of an unknown show and tell him that that if he covered the bail, Holder would give him an interview.

Black said the producer had not put up the $5,000 bail as of today.

Deputies say the three teenagers were spotted in the vacant house, which is being renovated, on O'Neal Road. Deputies arrived and found copper wiring ripped from walls and torn from the attic. They got a tip that the thieves were at a house on Gordon Loop and found the trio in the backyard burning insulation off the wire, Black said.

Holder's arrest Feb. 3 drew widespread attention. He was charged after a woman complained that he was singing a profanity laced rap song in front of her children. He pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and breach of the peace, authorities said, and was placed on six months' probation.
