TAMPA - A family-oriented festival begins at noon today and will be followed by the annual Sant' Yago Illuminated Knight Parade.
The Family Fiesta will be held this afternoon at Union Station at Nebraska Avenue and Twiggs Street. As evening draws near, adults can get things started with happy hour at Channelside and in Ybor City.
The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at Nebraska Avenue and Twiggs Street and will travel along Nick Nuccio Parkway before winding its way into Ybor.
The route will not pass along Channelside this year to avoid traffic generated by a Lightning hockey game at the St. Pete Times Forum.
Admission to the parade and Family Fiesta are free; however, there is a $25 fee for parade bleacher seats. Parking will be available at the Twiggs Street garage for $1.20 an hour; don't forget to bring cash.
