TALLAHASSEE - Terrell Buckley will start earning a paycheck for working with the Florida State football team. Buckley, the former FSU star who played 15 years in the NFL, was hired Friday as assistant strength coach.
Buckley returned to FSU during the fall to complete his undergraduate degree, something he promised Coach Bobby Bowden he would do when he left after his junior season in 1991. Buckley spent last season as a volunteer student assistant working with defensive backs.
Buckley holds school interception records for a career (21) and season (12 in 1991). He replaces Pat Meyer, who left to be the offensive line coach at Colorado State.
