Published: February 18, 2008

Heidi Klum wants to help Britney Spears.

The 34-year-old model says she'd be willing to open her home to Spears while the troubled pop singer puts her life back together.

"She can call me and come live in our house with us for a couple of months," said Klum, a mother of three who is married to the singer Seal and lives in Beverly Hills, Calif. "I would help set her straight."

"I am sorry when a young person gets thrown so off track," Klum said, according to a transcript of an interview that will be aired tonight by the German broadcaster ARD.

After more than a year of bizarre behavior and two stints in a psychiatric hospital this year, Spears was placed under a conservatorship by the Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner at the beginning of this month.

Reagan Hospitalized After Fall In Home

Nancy Reagan's spokeswoman says the former first lady is staying overnight in the hospital after falling in her home in Bel-Air.

Spokeswoman Joanne Drake says the 86-year-old Reagan is doing well after being taken to St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica on Sunday.

Doctors determined she did not break a hip as feared.

Drake says Reagan is staying in the same room where former President Ronald Reagan stayed after he broke his hip at home in 2001.

She says Reagan is "joking and visiting in her room."

'Excuse Me, But Aren't You Kathleen Turner?'

Kathleen Turner eats out less and often takes mass transit now that she's doing stage work instead of films - and she enjoys getting compliments on the bus.

Turner, who recently directed the comedy "Crimes of the Heart" off-Broadway, said fellow travelers frequently recognize her.

"They do very often. People are so nice. They smile and say, 'You're looking good. I love your work,'" the 53-year-old award-winning actress told Newsweek for editions on newsstands today. "This is a very lovely thing to have in your life."

Turner just wrote the memoir "Send Yourself Roses."

Fuss Over Carpenters' House Only Just Begun

Owners of the Carpenters' former home in Downey, Calif., aren't feeling on top of the world about the legions of fans who keep stopping by to pay tribute.

The five-bedroom house, where siblings Karen and Richard Carpenter lived and wrote some of their greatest hits, was featured on the cover of their 1973 album "Now & Then." It was also where an anorexic Karen collapsed in 1983 before dying.

Owners Manuel and Blanca Melendez Parra have submitted plans to raze the 39-year-old main house, angering loyal fans, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

"This house is our version of Graceland," said Carpenters fan Jon Konjoyan, 57, who is heading a campaign to save the home.
