Paul McCartney and Heather Mills' weeklong divorce hearing ended Monday without a deal, and a judge will now impose a settlement on the warring couple.
As legal teams left court, McCartney's lawyer, Nicholas Mostyn, told reporters that Judge Hugh Bennett had reserved his ruling. The judge will now spend several weeks working out a settlement.
Mills and McCartney separated in 2006 after four years of marriage. They went to court to decide Mills' share of the former Beatle's fortune, estimated at as much as $1.6 billion.
Mills, 40, smiled as she left London's Royal Courts of Justice with her entourage. McCartney, 65, did not attend, although he was in court to face his estranged wife every day last week.
Media reports have suggested McCartney offered his wife around $50 million and that she was seeking at least double that amount.
Irwin's Son Receives 1st Snakebite
Like father, like son?
The 4-year-old son of "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin wasn't alarmed when he was recently bitten by a baby boa constrictor, according to his mother.
"He picked one of them up and it bit him on the finger, and he was so proud to have copped his first hit," Irwin's widow, Terri, said Monday at an appearance at FAO Schwarz with her two children to promote a new line of toys.
"He said, 'I hope it wasn't venomous,' so I assured Robert I wouldn't actually let him play with venomous snakes," she added.
Terri Irwin said the couple's 9-year-old daughter, Bindi, was first bitten by a snake when she was 18 months old.
Depp, Farrell, Law To Replace Ledger In Film
It is taking three top names - Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell - to step into Heath Ledger's final role, in the unfinished movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, according to a publicist for Law.
Speaking to the BBC, Law's spokeswoman confirmed that the three actors would play Ledger's role of Tony. She was unaware, however, as to how the part would be restructured in the film, which deals with magic.
The BBC speculates that the production will retain its original footage of Ledger, with Law, Depp and Farrell each playing different versions of Tony.
Actress Casts Stone At U.S. Policy
Sharon Stone said the Sept. 11 attacks should not have been used as a pretext for the United States to launch wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, according to comments printed Monday in a pan-Arab newspaper.
In her interview with Al Hayat, the actress also bemoaned what she called Americans' decision to ignore the deaths of Iraqis.
"I feel at great pain when the spotlight is on the death of 4,000 American soldiers, while 600,000 Iraqi deaths are ignored," she said. "War is not a movie, it is a tragedy of dead bodies, victims, the disabled, orphans, widows and the displaced."
The interview took place in December, when Stone attended the fourth Dubai International Film Festival in the United Arab Emirates. Stone said she came to the region seeking answers for herself because, she said, the U.S. media has failed to provide Americans with the truth.
