Plant City Church Selling Seats For Berry Festival Parade

PLANT CITY -- If you like the Florida Strawberry Festival's Grand Feature Parade, here's your chance to buy a seat in a prime viewing spot.

First Presbyterian Church of Plant City, 404 W. Reynolds St., is selling reserved seating in front of the church, which is along the parade route. Seats cost $4 each and must be paid for in advance at the church office, 407 W. Mahoney St. The church sets up two rows of seats, church member Lu Haskett said.

The Grand Feature Parade is slated to begin at 1 p.m. March 3.

Parade lovers start inquiring about the church's parade seats as early as January, Haskett said. "They want the same seats year after year."

The seats usually sell out before the parade.

First Presbyterian also will offer parade-day parking in its lot for $1 in advance or $2 on parade day.

The church office is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
