Pasco Has 2 Controlled Burns

Two controlled burns authorized by the Department of Forestry are burning nearly 200 acres in Pasco County today.
The larger of the two burns – 166 acres – is at State Road 52 near Ehren Cutoff in the Land O' Lakes area, and the other is about 32 acres at Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park near the Gulf View Square mall in Port Richey, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.
There have been numerous 911 calls about the fires.
