LAKELAND -- Wanted: lottery bandit.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is looking for help finding a man they say forced his way into a Memorial Boulevard gas station in the early morning of New Year's Eve to pilfer trays of lottery tickets.
The man twice forced his way into the Marathon at 2340 Memorial Blvd., according to the sheriff's office. In both cases, the store was closed and no one was inside.
He got away with at least 10 trays of lottery tickets, the sheriff's office reported.
The sheriff's office has released still image and video footage of the man.
Anyone with information should call Detective Paul Dunn at (863) 577-1600 or (863) 533-0344.
