The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting of a young man this afternoon in front of 6605 Ginny Drive in Port Richey.
Doug Tobin, spokesman for the sheriff's office, gave this account:
About 2:30 p.m., a vehicle pulled up to the home and an argument started between some people in the vehicle and the victim, who was outside the car.
One of the passengers got out of the vehicle and shot the victim at least one time in the lower abdomen, just below the belt line.
The victim is in his late teens or early 20s. He was transported by helicopter to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect vehicle is described as a silver Saturn of unknown model. It has dark tinted windows and black paint on the lower part of the vehicle.
The car was occupied by four white males.
