Grace Leads USF Women Past Villanova, 77-66

TAMPA - The University of South Florida women's basketball team scored nine unanswered points in a decisive run midway through the second half Tuesday night as the Bulls defeated Villanova 77-66 in a Big East game at the Sun Dome.

With the score tied at 52, the Bulls (13-12, 3-9) went on a 9-0 run, sparked by Shantia Grace's jumper and a 3-pointer, and took a 61-52 lead on ChiChi Okpaleke's layup with 8:43 to play.

Villanova (15-11, 5-8) would get no closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Grace led USF with 21 points, while Okpaleke and Jazmine Sepulveda scored 19 points apiece.

Okpaleke also had 11 rebounds for the Bulls, while Porche Grant had 15.

RUTGERS 57, NOTRE DAME 51: Epiphanny Prince scored 18 points as No. 5 Rutgers (21-4, 11-1 Big East) beat No. 14 Notre Dame (20-6, 8-4).

WEST VIRGINIA 82, CINCINNATI 63: Meg Bulger had 20 points to carry No. 13 West Virginia (21-4, 10-2 Big East) past Cincinnati (11-14, 2-11).

PROVIDENCE 62, SYRACUSE 58: Mi-Khida Hankins went 4-for-4 at the free-throw line in the last 11.1 seconds and scored a career-high 22 points as Providence (12-13, 2-10, Big East) upset No. 22 Syracuse (19-6, 7-5).

Men: Late Jumper Gives Bradley Upset Victory

DES MOINES, Iowa - Jeremy Crouch's jumper with 11 seconds left capped Bradley's 12-2 run that gave the Braves a 72-71 victory against No. 16 Drake, the Bulldogs' first home loss of the season.

Crouch scored 23 points to lead the Braves (16-12, 9-7 Missouri Valley Conference), who held Drake (23-3, 14-2) scoreless for the final 5 minutes.

INDIANA 77, PURDUE 68: Eric Gordon scored 22 points and No. 15 Indiana (22-4, 11-2) beat No. 14 Purdue (21-6, 12-2) in a Big Ten game.

D.J. White, playing despite a sprained left knee, had 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Hoosiers, who snapped Purdue's 11-game winning streak.

CONNECTICUT 65, DePAUL 60: Hasheem Thabeet had 16 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocked shots and No. 13 Connecticut (21-5, 10-3 Big East) beat DePaul (10-15, 5-8).
