A childhood friend talked by telephone on Wednesday to missing Iraq war veteran Eric Hall, his family reported at 3 p.m. today.
Becky Hall, mother of the missing 24-year-old with post-traumatic stress disorder, said the friend heard from Eric Hall Wednesday night.
Hall's family still doesn't know his whereabouts, though.
The Hall family declined to answer further questions, but scheduled a press conference for 4 p.m. today.
Hall disappeared on Feb. 3 after a flashback to the war sent him fleeing from his aunt's house in Deep Creek, where he was spending time with his grandmother.
He had moved to Charlotte County three weeks before, to share a home with his cousin, Chaz Kane.
