89 Young Ladies To Compete In Pageant Friday At County Fair

Eighty-nine girls ages 6 through 17 will vie for five titles in the 18th annual Miss Heart of Florida Pageant at 7 p.m. Friday at Dan Cannon Auditorium at the 61st annual Pasco County Fair. Liz Williams, chairwoman, said the pageant will feature contestants from across the county.

The contestants will be crowned by last year's winners: Chelsea Lynn Waller, Miss Heart of Florida; Brianna Allexxandra Lupo, Junior Miss Heart of Florida; Sarah Catherine Henry, Junior Little Miss Heart of Florida; Brittany Leanne Gray, Little Miss Heart of Florida; and Shelby Lynn Surratt, Wee Little Miss Heart of Florida.

Contestants ages 6 through 8 vying for the title of Wee Little Miss Heart of Florida are: Emily Grace Surak, 6-year-old daughter of Brian and Nancy Surak of Land O' Lakes; Christina Shudra, 7-year-old daughter of Suzanne Shudra of Zephyrhills; Taylor Charleen Pangallo, 8-year-old daughter of Church and Darbi Pangallo of Dade City; Kenzi Ennis, 7-year-old daughter of Greg and Jenny Ennis of Zephyrhills; Ashley Marie Devlin, 7-year-old daughter of Matthew and Shannon Devlin of Trinity; Lexus Leanne Wagner, 8-year-old daughter of Jeffrey and Ella Wagner of Zephyrhills; Macy Elizabeth Saenz, 6-year-old daughter of Leo Saenz and Elizabeth Smith of Zephyrhills; and Cassidy Rebecca Schmidt, 6-year-old daughter of Christopher and Toni Schmidt.

Those vying for the title of Miss Heart of Florida, ages 15 through 17, are: Shirley Leung, 15-year-old daughter of Peter and Kathy Leung of Land O' Lakes; Heather Renee Ford, 15-year-old daughter of David and Raeonda Ford of Wesley Chapel; Lindsey Nicole Pennington, 15-year-old daughter of Gregory and April Pennington of Dade City; Kiera Lynn Perkins, 15-year-old daughter of Fred and Deborah Perkins of Zephyrhills; Catherine Nicole Heltzel, 15-year-old daughter of Stephen Heltzel and Jennifer Price of Dade City; Lacey Leigh Roberts, 16-year-old daughter of Steve and Stacey Roberts of Dade City; Tara Leann Lynch, 17-year-old daughter of David Lynch and Tina Johnson of Zephyrhills; Cortney Michele Nelson, 17-year-old daughter of Nancy Tesar of Dade City; and Taylor Michelle Mock, 17-year-old daughter of Tom and Michelle Mock of Lutz.

Four other Miss Heart contestants opted to compete on Saturday night for Miss Outstanding Teen, a national competition for girls ages 13 through 17 that includes talent. The Miss Outstanding Teen Pasco will advance to the Miss Outstanding Florida Teen Pageant.

The winner there goes on to compete for the national crown. Competing for the Miss Outstanding Teen Pasco will be Lauran Margaret Simpson, 17-year-old daughter of Wilton Simpson and Debbie Felts of Ridge Manor; Adriana Lourdes Brown, 16-year-old daughter of Gregory Brown and Diana Enriquez-Brown of Land O' Lakes; Caitlin Brooke Eakley, 14-year-old daughter of Lori and Melbourne Eakley Jr. of Zephyrhills; and Rachel Jardine, 14-year-old daughter of Bryce Jardine of Wesley Chapel.

The winner will be crowned by last year's Miss Outstanding Teen Pasco, Sarah Elizabeth Lukacik. Admission to the pageant is $2 with gate admission to the fair. Gate admission is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 through 12. Parking is free.
