LAKELAND - The Winter Haven High girls basketball team bolted to an 11-0 lead to start the game and rolled to a 73-40 victory against Boca Ciega in the Class 5A state semifinals Wednesday at The Lakeland Center.
Winter Haven (30-2) will face Naples Barron Collier (30-3) for the state title Friday night at 7.
Kiara Francisco led Winter Haven with 21 points and nine rebounds. Boca Ciega, which was just 11 of 55 from the field, got 12 points from Tory Stephens.
