Two people forcibly entered a Haines City home today Friday, and one sexually battered a girl inside while the other forced the girl's siblings into another room, Haines City police say.
The 5:05 p.m. incident in the 2500 block of North 10th Street began when the girl answered knocks on her door. Two people forced their way inside, with at least one armed with a semi-automatic handgun, according to a Haines City police release.
"The victim was struck numerous times about her head and upper body area with the handgun by one of the suspects," the release states.
After the girl was sexually battered, the suspects left.
One is a 15- to 19-year-old black male, roughly 5-foot-7 and thin, wearing a green sweater and jeans, and armed with a gun, police say. The other is a 5-foot-9 black male weighing about 150 pounds with short hair and light skin.
