Pop singer Aaron Carter was arrested for investigation of marijuana possession Thursday after he was pulled over for speeding in Texas, authorities said.
Carter, 20, the younger brother of the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, was in jail in Junction, Texas, on Friday morning awaiting an appearance before a magistrate, Kimble County Sheriff Mike Chapman told People magazine. A spokesman for Carter later said he was posting bail and would return to Los Angeles.
Carter's Cadillac Escalade was pulled over for speeding in Junction about noon Thursday, Chapman said. Officers found marijuana in the car, the sheriff said. There was nobody else in the car.
Lopez, Anthony Welcome Twins
Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins early Friday, making the singer and husband Marc Anthony the parents of a boy and a girl after one of pop music's most closely watched pregnancies.
"She's thrilled," Lopez's manager, Simon Fields, told The Associated Press. He said the babies were born just after midnight.
Fields confirmed that the girl arrived first, weighing 5 pounds, 7 ounces. "Her boy is 6 pounds even and arrived about 15 minutes later" at a Long Island, N.Y., hospital, he said. The exact location was not identified.
Ending months of speculation, Lopez confirmed her pregnancy at a Miami concert in November.
Lopez, 39, and Anthony, 38, married in 2004. The twins are her first children, and his fourth and fifth.
Combs Says He's Ready For Big Screen
Sean "Diddy" Combs says he wants to move to Hollywood and become a full-time movie star.
The East Coast-based entertainment mogul aims to get top billing on the big screen.
"Yeah, leading man kind of stuff; you know, jumping off of buildings," Combs said in a tape for an appearance on CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman."
Besides action-packed adventure, the rapper-producer's ideal film roles would also include "making love to beautiful women" and "very emotional, heart-wrenching scenes."
Letterman advises Combs to start out doing a smaller, independent movie rather than a big-budget picture that could bomb at the box office.
"Oh, no, no, no. I'm going to take my time with it," said Combs, who has a clothing line, Sean John, and heads Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment and its record label.
Burke Candid About Her Depression
For the first time since entering a psychiatric hospital in January, Delta Burke is speaking out about her depression, saying she remembered having anxiety as early as kindergarten.
In a two-part "Entertainment Tonight" interview, Burke says she needed "an adjustment under a physician's care" after the five medications she was taking no longer worked. Now she's on two medications, Burke says.
By coming forward, Burke hopes to help remove the stigma surrounding depression. She says she would like people to pursue mental help the same way they might with another illness.
