TAMPA - A 65-year-old man who witnesses said was walking naked through the back yards of their Sarasota neighborhood Saturday tried to fight with deputies and had to be subdued with pepper spray and a Taser, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.

Duncan Kirk, of Bradenton, was charged with prowling and resisting arrest with violence, a sheriff's office news release said.
Residents of Wagon Wheel Circle in Sarasota saw Kirk walking naked through their yards about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the sheriff's office said. When deputies arrived, they found Kirk sitting inside a home's screened-in patio, Sgt. Darin Bankert wrote in a news release.
Kirk attempted to run but deputies caught him and tried to handcuff him, Bankert said. He resisted arrest, even after deputies used a gel-based pepper spray, the sheriff's office said. Kirk was stunned with a Taser twice before deputies managed to place him in handcuffs, Bankert said.
Kirk was released Sunday from Manatee County Jail after posting $1,200 bail.
