Maryland Rallies Past FSU

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Kristi Toliver scored eight of her 24 points in overtime and No. 4 Maryland rallied to beat Florida State 92-84 on Sunday to finish 19-0 at home.

The Terrapins (28-2, 12-1 ACC) trailed 73-65 with 2:59 left in regulation before storming back to win their sixth straight before 16,135.

Coach Brenda Frese made her first appearance on the sidelines after giving birth to twins Feb. 17. She didn't coach the first half, but returned after the break to guide the team from an oversized chair at the end of the bench while assistant Daron Park roamed the sidelines.

Mara Freshour led Florida State (15-11, 5-6) with 23 points and Shante Williams scored 14 to become the 21st woman in FSU history to reach the 1,000 mark. But the Seminoles couldn't win despite taking 26 more shots than Maryland.

SOUTH CAROLINA 69, FLORIDA 65: Jordan Jones scored 16 points, including 5-for-9 from behind the 3-point arc, to lead South Carolina (14-13, 3-9 SEC) past host Florida (16-11, 5-7).

The Gators, playing their final regular-season home game, held a nine-point lead midway through the first half before the Gamecocks rallied.

Marshae Dotson, who had started 57 consecutive games prior to coming off the bench for Sunday's game, finished with a game-high 17 points for Florida. Depree Bowden added 12 points and Sha Brooks had 10 for Florida.

TENNESSEE 72, MISSISSIPPI STATE 46: Candace Parker scored 19 points and No. 3 Tennessee (25-2, 11-1 SEC) overcame a slow start to beat visiting Mississippi State (16-12, 4-9).

Shannon Bobbitt and Alexis Hornbuckle each added 11 points for the Lady Vols.

OLD DOMINION 66, DREXEL 51: Tiffany Green scored 12 points to lead No. 10 Old Dominion (24-3, 15-0 Colonial Athletic Association) to its 18th straight win with a victory against Drexel (15-11, 10-5).

Megan Pym and T.J. Jordan added 10 points each for the Lady Monarchs.

DUKE 78, VIRGINIA 70: Chante Black scored 15 of her 22 points in the second half, and Wanisha Smith added 16 points in her final home game to lift No. 12 Duke (21-7, 10-3 ACC) past Virginia (20-8, 8-4).

The Blue Devils wrapped up the No. 3 seed for the conference tournament, beating the Cavaliers for the ninth consecutive time at home.

NOTRE DAME 66, DEPAUL 64: Erica Williamson tied a career-high with 16 points to help No. 14 Notre Dame (21-6, 9-4 Big East) beat host DePaul (18-8, 7-6).

GEORGE WASHINGTON 61, SAINT JOSEPH'S 53: Jessica Adair scored 20 points to help No. 17 George Washington (22-5, 10-2 Atlantic-10) beat Saint Joseph's (14-13, 6-6).

UTEP 89, UCF 74: Jareica Hughes scored 23 points and had nine assists to lead No. 19 UTEP (23-2, 14-0) past host UCF (9-18, 2-12), clinching the Miners' first regular-season Conference USA championship in their 34-year history.

UCF freshman Marshay White tied a career high with 23 points before fouling out with 58 seconds left.

TEXAS A&M 65, TEXAS 50: Takia Starks scored 22 points and No. 21 Texas A&M (20-7, 8-5 Big 12) pulled away early in the second half to earn a third straight win against rival Texas (16-11, 4-9).

GEORGIA 68, AUBURN 56: Tasha Humphrey scored 22 points to lead No. 24 Georgia (20-7, 7-5 SEC) past visiting Auburn (18-9, 6-6 SEC).
