FIRST TEAM
Erin Bailey, Wharton, So.
Bailey returns to the all-county squad with another standout season. The Skinner twins might have grabbed more attention but it was Bailey who had the Wildcats' best showing at the state meet (14{+t}{+h} in 19:37) and was their most consistent runner.
Sydney Coates, Newsome, So.
Coates broke out of the Wolves' solid pack this season to make a name for herself and earn all-county honors. She turned in top-10 performances at the flrunners.com, county championships, district and regional meets, then broke 20 minutes at the 3A state finals.
Olivia D'Angelo, Berkeley Prep, Jr.
D'Angelo makes her first appearance on the all-county roster following a breakout season. She was the county championships' runner-up, top 10 at both her district and regional meets and took all-state honors in the 1A finals with a 14th-place effort of 19:34.
Alyssa Franks, Freedom, Jr.
Franks is perhaps the most improved runner in the area. She ran her 5k races in the 21-minute range most of the regular season, then improved to 20:25 at the district meet, 20:03 at the regional and ran a lifetime best of 19:27 for 12th place and all-state honors in the 3A state finals.
Page Price, Berkeley Prep, Sr.
Although hampered by a calf strain part of the season, Price was one of only a handful of area runners who cracked 20 minutes for 5k this fall. She ran hurt to help carry her team back to the 1A state finals by taking fifth at the district meet at 13th at the regional.
Kathia Skinner, Wharton, Sr.
Skinner had a solid season to make the all-county team for the second straight season. She was at or below 20 minutes all fall, third at the county finals, ran 19:45 for 19th at 3A state meet and missed her personal best by two seconds when she went 19:35 at the Foot Locker regional.
Katrina Skinner, Wharton, Sr.
Although unable to finish the 3A state meet after collapsing in the final mile, Skinner was a clear all-county selection. She was champion of the county meet, winner of her district, runner-up of her regional and, at the Foot Locker regional, smashed her lifetime best in the 5k with a time of 18:34.
Orlando Greene, Coach Of The Year
Newsome's Greene earns the award for the second straight year for guiding the Wolves from Class 2A to a very competitive 3A division. He not only made them competitive, but molded them into a surprising regional champion against strong Plant and Wharton teams.
SECOND TEAM
Madison Clark, Plant, Sr.; Elizabeth Goodwin, Plant, Fr.; Michaela Kennedy, Plant, So.; Brooke McEver, Newsome, Sr.; Grace Van De Grift, Durant, Fr.; Janey Martin, Newsome, Sr.; Morgan Williams, East Bay, Jr.
