FIRST TEAM
Keegan Bixler, Newsome, Jr.
Bixler earns his first appearance on the first team of the Tribune's all-county roster by turning in strong performances in big meets. He capped off his tremendous junior season with a second-team all-state performance in the Class 3A finals by taking 10th place in a personal best time.
Richard Blake, Berkeley Prep, Sr.
Blake returns to the first team for the third consecutive season. His third-place state meet finish made it three straight years in the top five of the 1A finals. Don't let his laid-back personality fool you. Blake was a serious competitor who got stronger as the season went on.
Duncan Hock, Plant, Sr.
Hock enjoyed a breakout season and his efforts were a major reason why the Panthers grabbed fourth at 3A state. After taking 12th at the county championships, Hock had a personal-best and school-record performance at state with his team-leading 11th-place finish.
Mark Parrish, Chamberlain, So.
Only a sophomore, Parrish ran like a seasoned performer in the 3A state championships when he turned in a stunning fourth-place finish in 15 minutes, 58 seconds. That was the fastest time of any area runner at the state meet and the 11th-best in all classifications.
Connor Revord, Jesuit, Jr.
Revord earns his third straight spot on the all-county squad. He took all-state honors for the same period with a fifth-place showing in the 2A state meet. His consistent efforts led the Tigers to another standout season and third place in the 2A finals.
Derek Wehunt, Sickles, Jr.
Undefeated against all competition in Hillsborough County, Wehunt was a top-five performer in nearly every invitational meet he ran in this fall. He was the county meet champion and earned all-state honors with his sixth-placing finish at the 4A state championships.
Drew Woodke, Brandon; Sr.
After just missing the cut last fall, Woodke rises to first team all-county status after a stellar senior season. He took third in the county meet, repeated as district champion and earned all-state honors with a 14th-place showing in the 3A state finals.
Mike Boza, Coach Of The Year
In his first season at Plant, Boza molded the Panthers into a contender when it mattered most — the postseason. His team captured first at the 3A-District 4 and 3A-Region 2 meets, then produced a fourth-place showing at the state finals.
SECOND TEAM
John Grellner, Wharton, Jr.; Ciprian Mejia, Sickles, Sr.; John Mitchell, Durant, Jr.; Jordan Schilit, Jesuit, Jr.; Dan Wehunt, Sickles, Jr.; Brooks Wells, Gaither, Sr.; Trenor Wilkins, Plant, So.
