Police arrested the 59-year-old Tampa man at 12:51 a.m., charging him with child neglect, driving under the influence and refusing to sign a summons.
Jackson's vehicle weaved from side to side while heading east on Fowler Avenue near North 56th Street, a criminal arrest affidavit states. He was traveling 30 miles an hour in a 50 mph zone.
After being stopped by police, Jackson fumbled with his wallet, smelled of alcohol and had glassy eyes, according to the affidavit. He stumbled and swayed after exiting his vehicle and was unable to complete field sobriety exercises.
