Published: January 2, 2008

Roselyn Sanchez and fellow actor Eric Winter got engaged during a holiday vacation on the island of Vieques, just east of mainland Puerto Rico, according to a statement released Tuesday.

The couple, who have been dating for two years, will talk about a date and location for their nuptials once they return to Los Angeles, according to Brenda Rodriguez, Sanchez's publicist in Puerto Rico.

Sanchez appears in the CBS series "Without a Trace" and produced the 2007 movie "Yellow."

Winter has appeared in a variety of TV shows, including "Days of Our Lives."

Anderson Ready To Move On

With a divorce filing and reconciliation within days, Pamela Anderson acknowledges her struggles continue - but she can only shrug and move on.

"Oh there's plenty," of problems, Anderson said as she headed to LAX nightclub in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve. "What can you do? We're all human. We're all trying."

Her brief marriage to Kid Rock was officially dissolved in early 2007. Anderson waited four months before walking down the aisle for the third time with Rick Salomon, a friend of 15 years.

She filed for divorce on Dec. 14 in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences, but days later Anderson posted a message on her blog saying: "We're working things out."

Legal Battle Keeps Soulful Artist Silent

The legal feud over the estate of James Brown is stalling the release of the soul legend's final recordings, his longtime adviser said.

Brown cut an album in Los Angeles the summer before he died in December 2006, but the songs are not being released because of courtroom disputes about who should benefit from his legacy and music royalties, attorney Buddy Dallas said. Another 50 to 60 previously recorded songs in vaults, Dallas said.

Brown's fourth son, Daryl, is one of five heirs trying to have their father's will voided because they say his former advisers - including Dallas - used undue influence to get the singer to create charitable trusts from which the advisers would profit. The other advisers named in the lawsuit are Alford Bradley and David Cannon.

Jack McCoy Takes On Political Role

Sam Waterston said he subscribes to Meryl Streep's advice: "Stand up for your character."

So after Fred Thompson left NBC's "Law & Order" in June to pursue a presidential bid, Waterston initially rejected the notion of Jack McCoy, the acerbic prosecutor Waterston has played on the show for the past 13 seasons, succeeding Thompson's Arthur Branch as district attorney.

"Here you would have a guy insulting politics all his life forced into a political role," Waterston said. "

But when "Law & Order" returns for its 18th season tonight, viewers will find McCoy ensconced in his new office. "I think it's the most important paradigm shift since the fourth season, when women came into the show," series creator Dick Wolf said.
