TAMPA - Although good seats remain available for their NFC playoff game against the New York Giants, the Buccaneers have no doubt Raymond James Stadium will be filled to capacity Sunday.
"We're confident the game will be a sellout," team spokesman Jeff Kamis said Wednesday.
That's even with Ticketmaster outlets limiting seat purchases to Florida residents only in an unprecedented move.
On the Ticketmaster Web site, fans are greeted by the following message: "Sales to this event will be restricted to residents of Florida. Residency will be based on credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside Florida will be canceled without notice and refunds given."
On Wednesday, Ticketmaster still had a wide range of seats available, including two club level tickets at $545 apiece.
"We want to ensure our fans in Florida have the best opportunity to purchase tickets to the game," Kamis said.
On StubHub, a popular secondary outlet for sports and entertainment events, 258 ticket options were listed Wednesday for the Bucs-Giants matchup.
