I would like to know the value of a chocolate set that we inherited from my husband's grandmother. It totals 48 pieces.
Each piece is marked "LS & S, Limoges" inside a circle.

Lewis Straus and Sons of New York was a major importer of European porcelain around the turn of the 20th century. The company imported from France and Germany between 1895 and 1917.
This coffee and dessert set, which includes a coffeepot, cups and saucers, dessert plates, fruit bowls and serving pieces, may have been part of a dinner service.
It was manufactured in France. It would retail for about $200.
My grandmother's glass woman's clothes brush is in the shape of a girl with a blue hat with a pink flower. The brush is attached with a white ribbon and stamped "FOREIGN."
What can you tell me about it?

It is a porcelain half-doll made in Germany or Japan.
Half-dolls were popular during the 1920s and '30s and adorned clothes brushes, pincushions, powder puffs and boxes. They are popular collectibles.
I suspect that it was made in Japan. It would retail for about $75.
