Memphis Extends Streak

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Doneal Mack scored a career-high 23 points, making seven 3-pointers, to lead No. 2 Memphis to a school-record 40th straight home win, 90-53 against Pepperdine on Saturday.

Five players scored in double figures for Memphis (13-0), which has not dropped a home game since losing 69-58 to Texas on Jan. 2, 2006. Chris Douglas-Roberts added 14 points, and Antonio Anderson and Willie Kemp finished with 12 each.

Tyrone Shelley had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Waves (5-10).

KANSAS 85, BOSTON COLLEGE 60: Darnell Jackson scored 25 points with nine rebounds and Darrell Arthur added 22 points to lead No. 3 Kansas past Boston College (10-3). Kansas won its first 14 games for the sixth time in school history.

UCLA 70, CALIFORNIA 58: Kevin Love scored 13 of his 19 points in the first half and grabbed 14 rebounds for his seventh double-double as No. 5 UCLA (14-1, 2-0 Pac-10) beat California (10-3, 1-1).

MICHIGAN STATE 65, MINNESOTA 59: Raymar Morgan scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lift No. 6 Michigan State (13-1) past Minnesota (10-3) in the Big Ten opener for both teams.

TEXAS 81, SAINT MARY'S 62: D.J. Augustin scored 30 points as No. 14 Texas (13-2) rolled past Saint Mary's (12-2).

GEORGETOWN 58, RUTGERS 46: Freshman Austin Freeman scored 13 points as No. 7 Georgetown beat Rutgers. The Hoyas (11-1, 1-0) opened defense of their Big East championship by holding the Scarlet Knights (8-7, 0-2) nine points below their Division I-leading figure.

TEXAS A&M 79, LSU 53: Donald Sloan had 17 points as 12th-ranked Texas A&M defeated injury-riddled LSU (7-7). It's the second-best start in school history and the first time the Aggies have been 14-1 since the 1921-22 season.

VANDERBILT 97, MASSACHUSETTS 88: Shan Foster scored 32 points, A.J. Ogilvy added 25 and unbeaten and No. 15 Vanderbilt (15-0) beat Massachusetts (11-3) to extend the best start in school history.

BUTLER 73, VALPARAISO 65: Mike Green matched his career high with 24 points and added eight rebounds to help No. 16 Butler (13-1, 2-1 Horizon League) beat Valparaiso (11-4, 2-1).

OREGON 84, ARIZONA 74: Malik Hairston tied his career high with 29 points and Oregon (10-4, 1-1) shot 56 percent from the field to beat No. 21 Arizona (10-4, 1-1) in a Pac-10 game at home for the second year in a row.

STANFORD 52, USC 46: Fred Washington helped shut down heralded Southern California freshman O.J. Mayo, and No. 24 Stanford (12-1, 1-1 Pac-10) overcame a horrid shooting night to beat the 22nd-ranked Trojans (9-5, 0-2).

WISCONSIN 64, IOWA 51: Brian Butch scored 22 points on 7-for-12 shooting and No. 25 Wisconsin (12-2, 2-0) continued its home dominance in the Big Ten by beating Iowa (7-8, 0-2).
