•"Blast!," winner of the 2001 Tony Award for best special theatrical event, visits Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Tuesday. Tickets are $37 to $57 for the show billed as an "art form evolved from the showmanship of outdoor pageantry."

•The Editors of Birmingham, England, have earned a U.S. fan base with a sound similar to Bloc Party's or Interpol's - dark and dramatic. The band plays Wednesday at Jannus Landing in St. Petersburg. Tickets for the 8 p.m. show that also includes Louis XIV are $17.

•Popular comedian, actress and fashion designer Margaret Cho brings her wit and commentary to the Improv in Ybor City for two shows each Friday and Saturday night. Tickets are $30.

•Cirque de la Symphonie combines acrobats and strongmen with the Florida Orchestra at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center on Friday. Tickets are $26 to $54.
