TAMPA - A woman having medical issues this morning lost control of her vehicle, which ran over a fire hydrant and struck a tree near Nebraska Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, police say.
Ann Dryer, 64, of 2725 N. Poplar Drive, died after being transported to St. Joseph's Hospital.
Her passenger, a 14-month-old girl, was secured in a child safety seat in the back of the vehicle during the 6:50 a.m. crash. The girl suffered minor bruising and was transported to St. Joseph's.
